Neurologic Music Therapist, Fellow

Laura Jensen Norberg is a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) and earned a master’s degree in Music Therapy from Colorado State University (MM). She has advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy, holding the designation of Fellow from the ‘Robert F. Unkefer’ Academy at the Center for Biomedical Research in Music. After completing her internship on the inpatient LifeSkills Rehabilitation unit at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado, she worked as the staff Neurologic Music Therapist at the Center for Neurorehabilitation Services, as the program director for the Shared Journeys Brain Injury Foundation day treatment program, and in private practice. Laura moved to the Bay Area in the summer of 2009, where she founded Bayside Music Therapy Services in order to provide quality Neurologic Music Therapy for individuals and groups with physical, cognitive, communication, and social needs.  In addition to music therapy, Laura has a background in personal training and dance performance.
